What is VBS?
VBS is an annual holiday programme conducted in English where children aged 5 to 10 (Kindergarten 1 to Primary 4) will hear stories from the Bible, engage in intricate crafts, participate in fun games, sing and dance to exciting music, and be challenged with an exciting excursion. These culminate in a concert put up by the children for their parents on the last day of the event. Parents will get to experience the VBS with their children on this day. What is the schedule for VBS 2024? 3 – 5 Dec: 9am - 5pm 6 Dec: 9am - 8pm We require all children to stay for the full 4 days and would like to ask for you to refrain from registering your child if you are not able to commit to the entire duration. Full participation in all activities during the 4 day camp is expected so as to make the most out of the camp! What is this year's theme? Theme: Breaker Rock Beach Motto: God’s rock-solid truth in a world of shifting sands Verse: Romans 12:2 Is VBS only for children who attend church? Not at all! VBS is for all children aged 5-10, especially so for children who have not heard about the gospel. As this is an outreach program, we strongly encourage registrants and other churches to partner us in this evangelistic opportunity and invite a child who is not attending church. Can parents join their child(ren) at VBS? VBS is a children-only program. Please be assured that our workers will care for your child. You can look forward to hearing about your child’s experience each day when you pick them up in the evening! Will my child(ren) be in the same group as their friends or siblings? Children are grouped according to their ages and education level (K1, K2, P1 etc.) at the discretion of the VBS team. They may not be with their friends and/or siblings, but they’ll be able to participate in many fun activities while making new friends! Will food be provided? There will be food catered for lunch and snacks. On Friday (6 Dec), there is family night and families are invited to have fellowship over a light dinner before the concert starts. If your child has any special diet or food allergy, please pack food and snacks for him/her to consume during VBS. Kindly let us know in your registration form as well so that our VBS workers will be aware. What does the registration fee cover? Registration fees are inclusive of our fun programme and materials, a souvenir shirt and bag, as well as daily food and drinks. Simply click on this link (registration has closed) to fill in your child(ren)'s details in the registration form and complete payment for the registration fee (instructions are in the form). You can register up to 5 participants in one registration form. How do I make payment? Payment can be made either via PayNow or bank transfer. The instructions can be found in our registration form. If I’m not able to make payment via PayNow or bank transfer, what should I do? Please download and print a copy of our registration form here (no longer available as registration has closed).
